Do you store my code?

For public sources, we store embeddings and chunks on our servers. For private repositories and local data, everything stays on your machine.

Can Nia only be used for coding agents?

No. You can use the Nia API to build what we call a 'mini Google'—a custom search engine indexed with your specific content like documentation, webpages, or internal knowledge bases.

Do I need to reindex when content changes?

No. We compute hashes and continuously monitor your sources. Everything stays up to date automatically.

What types of content can I index?

GitHub repositories, documentation sites, npm/pip/cargo packages, and any public webpage. More source types coming soon.

How does Oracle mode differ from regular search?

Oracle chains multiple searches together and builds a dynamic knowledge tree for deeper research. It's designed for complex questions that need thorough answers.

What coding agents does Nia work with?

fully agree OC has a better TUI experience CC has a lot of capabilities but it’s not intuitive. some tips based on yesterday's stream: 1. for planned Q&A, use AskUserQuestionTool. 2. giving repo as start works great. for context mgmt, I use Nia (mcp) to index repos/docs
